Once a year, the Springfield Museum of Art in Springfield, Ohio hosts an exhibit of all their members’ artwork.
The 75h annual collection of art was in 2021, and so I set out to visit it on a beautiful afternoon.
Please take note that there is a small entry fee of $5 for non-members, however the amount of rotating exhibits all year is worth the price of admission, or even a membership to get into this exhibit.
While photography is my truest calling, all different art mediums are present here. The entire exhibit is well curated and arranged to suit the variety of works.
Many familiar names of those I’ve met are represented here, and I’ll give them some shoutouts; Jeff Smith, Doug Taylor, Julie Riley, Mikee Huber, Bill Franz, Linda Phillips, and Bonnie Kuntz.
All of these artists (not all photographers) are excellent at their craft and the many more not mentioned were of the highest quality with their art.
All in all, there were 122 unique pieces by 87 different artists, yet the entire gallery never felt crowded or visually busy. Everything was in its right place.
Have you ever visited SMOA? This museum is affiliated with the Smithsonian and worth a visit wherever you’re from.
